NDU Condoles Lulu-Briggs Family
The Management of NDU on Friday, January 25 2019 paid condolence visit to the Lulu-Briggs family at Port Harcourt over the passing away of their patriarch and icon, High Chief Dr O B Lulu-Briggs OON, DCF, DSSRS. In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Samuel G Edoumiekumo recounted the numerous ways the late High Chief used this Foundation (he Lulu Briggs Foundation) as a powerful platform to touch the lives of people, communities and institutions through various scholarships and infrastructure interventions. The Niger Delta University, the Vice Chancellor said, is a beneficiary of the Lulu Briggs Foundation, with a 64-room students hostel facility, which was named after him; and also honored him with a honorary doctorate degree. He urged the family to take solace in the fact that the patriarch lived a fulfilled life and prayed for the repose of his soul. In her response, the wife of the High Chief, thanked the Management Team for their thoughtfulness and love, and for finding time to commiserate with the family.
