NDU at Governor's Mother's Burial Rites The final burial rites for Late GoldCoast Dickson, the mother of His Excellency, Hon. Seriake Dickson commenced with Service of Songs at the Bayelsa State Ecumenical Centre, Igbogene. Yenagoa, on December 6, 2018. Wake-keep took place at Toru-Orua on December 7 2018 and and internment at Toru-Angiama on Saturday December 8, 2019 The political, religious, business and the academic communities were well represented in all these ceremonies. The NDU team took part actively in all ceremonies and was led by the Chairman /Pro-Chancellor Barr Matthew B Seiyefa and Vice Chancellor Prof. Samuel G. Edoumiekumo. Others in the team include Governing Council Members, Principal Officers and Management Committee Members.

Editorial Information Niger Delta Journal of Medical Sciences (NDJMS) is a quarterly peer-reviewed official publication of Faculty of Clinical Sciences (FCS), College of Health Sciences (CHS), Niger Delta University (NDU) ,Amassoma, Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State, Nigeria. This general medical Journal accepts manuscripts from within and outside Nigeria in areas of basic and clinical medical sciences and related fields. All manuscripts submitted to this journal are expected to conform to the  Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals      issued by the International Committee for Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Types of Manuscripts and Limit Original Article Papers on original scientific articles with up to 3,000 words, five illustrations/tables/figures and twenty five references. Review Article A comprehensive review of a timely, important clinical subject along with the analysis of the topic leading to conclusions. This should not exceed 4,000 words

NDU Gets New Pro-Chancellor Matthew Seiyefa, who only recently retired as the Acting Director General of Department of State Services (DSS), has been appointed as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the Niger Delta University.

The 16th Matriculation Ceremony for 2017/2018 Academic Session held on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at the Main Campus Auditorium. The Vice Chancellor of the University, in his speech, congratulated the Matriculating students and encouraged them to concentrate on their studies. He emphasized the need for hardwork and warned them to avoid all forms of cultism and other social vices.
