Orientation Held for New Students

Activities for the 17th Matriculation Ceremonies for the 2018/2019 Session started on June 11 2019 with a one-day Orientation Ceremony organized for the new students at the New Lecture Theatre at the New Site. In his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Samuel G Edoumiekumo congratulated and welcomed the new students to what he calls a "great and enterprising University". He enumerated some of the heart-warming achievements by students of the University in various academic and sporting competitions and urged them to always promote the University in their conduct. Many resource persons presented short discourses on various aspects of students life particularly on how to stay focused and not to be distracted with drugs, cultism, sex, etc, to achieve their academic goals. The main event, the Matriculation Ceremony proper, comes up on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
