Forensic Auditors, Panacea for Fraud Control Says NDU VC

The Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University, Prof Samuel G Edoumiekumo has advocated for a greater role for Forensic Auditors to stem the epidemic called corruption that has become endemic in the society. He made the call at the 2nd Graduation and Induction Ceremony of fifty-two (52) Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation Professionals  (FAFIP) held at the Main Auditorium of the Niger Delta University on April 12, 2019. He said, the complexity of today's social and economic transactions occasioned by ICT have made the demand for these specialized professionals more imperative. The Advanced Diploma in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation is a nine months intensive course designed to equip participants with skills, tools and the science of forensic accounting, internal control, fraud prevention, detection and investigation, digital forensics, tracking and recovery of stolen assets, and presentation of forensic evidence in legal proceedings,  It is a collaboration between the Niger Delta University and the  Uniworld Professional Training Academy, New York, USA; and is approved by the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigations Professionals (IICFIP), Delaware, USA. In attendance at the Ceremony were Principal Officers, Directors of IICFIP, DOCERAD, amongst others.
