NUGA ZONE D (PRELIMINARIES)

The Nigeria University Games (NUGA) holds every two(2) years, where all Universities in the country are made to compete in line with international sporting Regulations. The hosting of NUGA games rotate amongst Nigeria Universities with University of Ife billed to host the next from June 03, 2013 to June 13, 2013.  Therefore Zonal preliminary is bound to take place before the NUGA proper. This also rotates amongst the Universities in the zone. Our University falls into group D that comprises of the following Universities:
  1. University of Port Harcourt
  2. University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt
  3. University of Uyo
  4. University of Calaber
  5. Cross River State University Of Technology
  6. Imo State University 
  7. Federal University of Technology Owerri
  8. Federal University, Otueke(Observer)
  9. Niger Delta University, wilberforce Island.
The hosting right having gone through all the Universities in the zone been bestowed on the Niger Delta University (NDU) and the University has accepted to host the Zonal Preliminaries from April 25-April 28, 2013.
Events To be competed for are follows : football, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Handball, Judo, Table Tennis, Tennis(lawn), Volley Ball, Squash etc.
